Welcome To The Passage East Car Ferry

The Passage East Ferry Company Ltd operates a continuous Car Ferry Service across the River Suir linking the villages of Ballyhack in Wexford and Passage East in Waterford, Ireland. Our ferry is a very important link for Tourism and Business operators as well being a very popular as part of a day trip itinerary for many people on both Waterford & Wexford sides of the Suir estuary.

The Service operates every day with the exception of 25 & 26 December. We operate longer hours from April to September. With an average of 120 crossings every day "You wont have long to wait"

The present car ferry service commenced in 1982 replacing a small boat ferry service that had been in place for hundreds of years.

Our ferry caters for cars, caravans, camper vans, commercial vehicles up to 3 tons, motor cyclists, cyclists and foot passengers. We have a range of discounted tickets for commuters and regular users. On this website you can get information about:
